Stone Oak Kitchen Remodel
This Stone Oak kitchen remodel in San Antonio transformed a dark, dated kitchen into a bright and highly functional gathering space with clean transitional styling and improved flow throughout the home.
The original kitchen featured older oak cabinetry, heavy granite countertops, dark finishes, and enclosed sightlines that made the space feel smaller and visually heavier. Legacy Bath & Kitchen redesigned the kitchen to create a more open and inviting environment while dramatically improving storage, lighting, and everyday usability.
The remodel included custom warm wood cabinetry paired with bright quartz countertops and a clean subway tile backsplash to lighten the entire room. Updated recessed lighting and simplified finishes helped modernize the space while maintaining a warm, timeless feel that complements the rest of the home.
A large new island became the centerpiece of the kitchen, providing expanded prep space, improved traffic flow, and casual seating for family and guests. The redesigned layout also allowed for better organization and more efficient storage around the cooking zone and refrigerator wall.
One of the biggest visual transformations came from removing the heavy visual contrast of the previous materials and replacing them with lighter surfaces and streamlined details. Matte black hardware and fixtures add subtle contrast while keeping the design warm and approachable.
The finished kitchen feels significantly brighter, larger, and more connected to the surrounding living spaces while preserving the comfortable character of the home.
